Daniel was called to join the ministry of East Side Christian church on December 15, 2008 as the Associate Minister. An Associate Minister is someone who helps the senior minister to perform the duties of the church. This position is more than just working with the youth, and that is the difference between being a "youth minister".

Daniel feels called by God to focus his ministry on children, youth and young adults. His ministry began in January 1999 in Emporia Kansas at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) as a youth minister. During his ministry there he discovered the call to attend Seminary to pursue a career in ministry. Daniel attended Phillips Theological Seminary for four years obtaining a Master's Degree in Divinity and was ordained in
August of 2005.
Daniel also has a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special education. I joined the United States Army during Desert Storm in 1991 to help pay for my college. I served as a medical specialist and had the opportunity to work as the shift leader in the Camp Casey Emergency Room and was in charge of the field emergency room. I spent a year in Korea and then returned to the states to be stationed at Fort Riley Kansas
only to find
myself shipped out to Germany for a month. At Fort Riley I was the Safety NCO for the First Infantry Division and was officed at the Division Headquarters.

My hobbies vary, I like to read, some woodwork and occasionally fishing, but most recently have picked up photography. Another hobby I have is magic, I enjoy learning how to do tricks by slight of hand and other illusions and have been known to use such things to illustrate biblical messages.
